Legislation concerning regional government has logical consequences for the governance process. This is followed by the issuance of Government Regulation Number 38 of 2007 concerning the Division of Government Affairs between Provincial Regional Governments and Regency / City Regional Governments, followed by Government Regulation Number 41 of 2007 concerning Regional Device Organisations. The Probolinggo District Government responded by establishing Probolinggo District Regulation Number 7 of 2007 concerning the Organisation and Work Procedure of the Regional Secretariat and Expert Staff of Probolinggo Regency. The type of explorative research is research that aims to find something new. The object of the research concerns the actions taken by civil servants in the service section of the procurement of the regional secretariat of Probolinggo Regency. The results showed that in-service training and position levels had a significant effect on productivity of 77.4%. The remaining 22.6% is explained by other variables not included in the regression model in this study. Pages 1 to 14




Can Ethics Develop Educational Service Commitments in a University Setting?

The development of ethics in an educational setting serves as one of the efforts necessary for improving the quality of education. This research discusses the ethics of human resources in the education service and its effects on educational implementation commitment. The research aims to determine whether the ethics of  an individual in an educational organisation, namely higher education, can influence service commitments. The research method that was undertaken used a quantitative approach and its populations were students of higher education institutions in three large cities in Indonesia. Purposive random sampling and a sample collection technique was used in this study. Results of the research show the conformity of ethical phenomena and the levels of individual commitment in providing this service. Pages 15 to 26




Reference Grammatical Cohesion in a Literary Text and its Application to Language Learning in High School

This study aims to describe the use of reference grammatical cohesion markers in the novel “Khotbah di Atas Bukit” (Sermon on the Hill) by Kuntowijoyo. The data used are sentences that have reference grammatical cohesion. The data collecting technique used involved conversation observation technique. A distributional method is used to analyse the data. The results of the study revealed that the reference grammatical cohesion markers consisted of 158 personal pronouns, 56 demonstrative pronouns, and 11 comparative pronouns. Most of the reference grammatical cohesion markers were personal pronouns. The results of the study can be implemented in Indonesian language learning in high school. Therefore, as a result, teachers should be able to create learning scenarios to be implemented in the classroom. Pages 27 to 44




Voicing the Unvoiced Indonesian SEA Teacher Teaching in the Philippines: A Phenomenological Study

Teaching abroad in an internship is a new program for enhancing the teaching skills of student teachers. The development of education requires a teacher to have the best experience in teaching practice. In the modern era, there are many incredible programs for teaching practice, one of which is the SEA Teacher program held by SEAMEO. The aim of this article is to describe the difficulties between SEA teachers and students due to a language barrier while teaching public speaking. The data was  collected by interviewing  student teachers who teach public speaking in grade 11 of PSU Integrated High School, Philippines. The subjects consist of  four student teachers who teach public speaking. Data is analysed using a phenomenological approach. The results show that student teachers have difficulty in  communicating as  due to varies languages, especially when they forget about vocabularies. In addition, it identifies  some problems in accents and dialects used by  students to the point that  sometimes they do not understand the teachers’ communication. As a result, the study points to the fact that student teachers should have  good English skills. By knowing that language is one of the challenges, the study   suggests that  student teachers should improve their English speaking skills when they want to obtain  an overseas internship. Buddhist Higher Education is an institution which produces Buddhist lecturers  responsible for the quality of human resources. The quality of graduates is a tangible manifestation of commitment to education  in maintaining consistency in  quality of education. Therefore, achieving  quality  education must be supported by qualified human resources (e.g. lecturers),  to also produce skilled and qualified graduates . The study uses an R & D approach with the following stages: preliminary study, establishing factual models based on the results of preliminary study analysis, designing hypothetical models based on factual models, validating designs by experts through FGD, improving model design, testing the effectiveness of hypothetical models and refining hypothetical models into final models. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis was carried out in qualitative descriptive, quantitative descriptive and  test statistical analysis. The result of limited trials shows: 75% planning function, organising function,  evaluation function, 80% implementation function, 85% HR development, and 75% infrastructure and curriculum development. The Progressivist Value of Character Education regarding Social Piety of K.H.A. Dahlan’s Teachings in Sang Pencerah’s Novel: A Prophetic Socio-pragmatic Study

Purpose: This study aims to explore the progressivism of character education in Sang Pencerah’s novel, describe the character values of social piety within K.H.A. Dahlan’s teachings in Sang Pencerah, and formulate K.H.A.’s prophetic values . Methodology: The research consists of  a descriptive-qualitative study including  a single case study design. Data was collected through documentation, marking, and source triangulation. The data analysis technique consists of a descriptive-reflective-holistic method (DRH) which reinforces the Constant Comparative analysis (CCA) of Fram’s Model. CCA-integrated DRH application is employed in the stage of describing the findings of the implementation of progressivism values, integrating each character education value, reducing  findings on social piety, and formulating prophetic theoretical generalisation originating from  Dahlan’s teachings . The four methods were also followed by an external socio-pragmatic analysis . Results: The results of this study reveal the progressivist values of Dahlan’s teachings consisting of pure Tawheed (monotheism/unity of God), deep understanding of the Qur’an and Sunnah,  functionality, contextuality, being solutive, present- and future-orientation,  tolerance, moderation and co-operation. Reducing poverty through education and health services are concrete and authentic ummah (the people) related matters. The piety value of Dahlan’s  social teachings  reflect a ‘man of action’. ‘He made history for his work than his words’ refers to  solving  ummah related problems together with his students by establishing schools, hospitals, orphanages and nursing homes. Social situations and religious practices need continuous effort. Applications/Originality/Value: The values of Dahlan’s social teachings include compassion, patient, helpful, generosity, humanity, as well as  authentic spiritual values including sensitivity and social responsibility. Theorem in the universality of language in foreign language interference on social media is part of the internationalisation of Indonesian towards society era 5.0. This study aims to describe the form of foreign language interference in social media and its theorem in language universality as the internationalisation of Indonesian. This type of research consists of qualitative description and data in the form of  tweets through Twitter social media that contains interference. Data collection uses the techniques of listening, note taking, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use intralingual and pragmatic equivalent methods. The results of the study reveal that foreign language interference in social media has a rule as a language universality at the level of phonology, syntax, and semantics; and the theorem form of interference in the universality of language as the internationalisation of Indonesian towards  society in the  5.0 era  used as teaching material in schools. Framing  Kaili Tribe Culture in the Muhammadiyah Education Perspective

This study aims to provide the correct formula in framing  Pompaura culture with the concept of  Islamic teachings based on Muhammadiyah's vision of returning and purifying the Islamic teachings . The research consists of  a qualitative descriptive method that produces descriptive data in the form of written or oral data from respondents or observers . In addition,  the research attempts to  reveal the facts and circumstances of a problem .  The results indicate that the  Pompaura culture according to the Muhammadiyah perspective belongs to the category of shirk, then the preaching of Muhammadiyah is to build a culture of how to follow  Islamic teachings  by voicing values  which will later become attitudes and habits . Recommendations, co-operation between the Government, traditional leaders, religious organizations of  preachers and those   framing the Pompaura culture, through Muhammadiyah's cultural propaganda which is oriented towards three things:  Intelligence, Enlightenment and Exemplary. Formulating a Customary Law Product with Islamic nuance, Customary Law which is consistent with religious  values n, making  Palu the Centre for the Development of  Ummah by forming containers that can collect and funnel aspirations and potential sources owned by the Kaili tribal community  in Palu . The purpose this research is to examine the optimisation of early childhood teachers as agents of teacherpreneur, as  they  are required to be creative and innovative so that they can produce creative, innovative and innovating generations. Methodology: The methodology consists of  qualitative research as this study aims to describe in-depth efforts to optimise the potential of early childhood teachers. The research was carried out at early childhood centre Gugus Melati Jaten- Karanganyar. The samples consist of 40 early childhood teachers. Data was collected through direct interviews with early childhood teachers then  analysed using source triangulation. Result: The results show that many potential teachers can be developed so that they can become active and productive teacherpreneurs. The potential developed will later be able to provide benefit to  teachers, students and schools. Implementing Islamic Criminal Law: Does it Break the Indonesian Legal System?

This  study aims to discuss  Islamic criminal law in Indonesia, also known as the Law of Aceh Qanun, as a legal product in ACEH, which is a source of Sharia law. The main purpose of the law of Jinayat ACEH Qanun is to follow the prevailing legal system in Indonesia. The Indonesian national legal system is based on Pancasila and  Constitution 1945. A clash between Islamic  and Indonesian criminal law has frequently occurred  in practice. The challenge is to obtain future recommendation. The results of the study prove that any existing legal domain must originate from Pancasila and  Constitution 1945. Based on the results , the validity of ACEH Jinayat Qanun in consistent  with the special authority of ACEH government concerning Sharia. Regarding the legal perspective, legal authority is a form of  attribution, which did not exist previously , but has been   established by legislators or DPR (the people of DPR), more specifically Heldit. The result show that each existing legal domain must derive from Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution. Therefore, the enactment of the Aceh Jinayat Qanun is consistent  with the Aceh Government's specific authority on Islamic Shari'a. According to the  legal perspective, this authority is  legitimate as an attributive authority, which was previously non- -existent, but  has been  established by  DPR legislators (the People’s House of Representative) which specifically upheld it. The research method in film studies can be conducted in a systemic and planned manner to obtain solutions to  proposed issues.  Obtaining Learning Materials by Exploring the Moral Aspect and Historical Meaning in Banten Literature

The objective of this study is to obtain appropriate learning materials using Banten Legend stories. In addition, this study explores the moral values found in these stories and the relationship with the historical and cultural values of Banten. This study uses a descriptive method and library resources. Data is taken from Legend stories of Banten. It also uses interviews  for getting the meaning of the stories. To analyse the data for developing materials, the researchers use the theory of Lazar and Tomlinson. The researchers also use  Bohlin’s theory (the character table) to analyse  moral values. The results of the research show that the moral values of the Legend of Seven Wells describes a woman who sacrifices by not caring about her life, only  to obtain  goodness for people, especially women. The Legend of Kiai Gede  explains through a rich and religious figure who always encourages  people to do good and give alms to the poor but his daughter and son-in-law do not enforce these rules, therefore they are punished by their father. The moral teaching found in  Nyai Bansari  is that a brave woman who saves many people from the disaster that struck her area  manages to bring prosperity to the people in the village. The results show a close relationship between the stories with historical and cultural values of Banten. “The Seven Wells” are locations in Serang-Banten, and Banten culture believes that women who will get married if bathing from the water of the seven wells will bring blessings to their  households. The early period of  Pandeglang or  regency is well known  as a place of religious followers  found in the explanation of the legend of Kiai Gede. The cultural and historical aspects in  “Nyai Bansari “ show that  Banten woman was a leader and brave soul. This fact is found in Banten history which explains that Nyi Gamparan is a brave female figure who opposed Dutch colonialism. Models and Learning Strategies of Multicultural Dance through the Cross Dance Style Approach

Dance is an important element in developing a culture that functions to foster national feelings and awareness among Indonesian children. The nature of some dance in Indonesia, both developed within the palaces and in the midst of village community life, has its unique characteristics. To understand the characteristics of each dance, an approach is made through cross dance styles. In understanding these characteristics, multicultural dance training was conducted using the cross-dance style approach to the teacher. The material consisted of Surakarta Style Peacock dance and Tor-Tor Somba Tapanuli dance in north Sumatra. The results showed that the teacher's performance in the Surakarta Peacock Dance indicated 5 teachers with very good quality and 23 people with good quality. Meanwhile, in Tor-Tor Somba Tapanuli dance in north Sumatra 4 teachers showed very good quality and 24 teachers showed good quality. The strategy and package of Surakarta Style Peacock dance material development gained an average of 88.46%. Meanwhile, the strategy and package of Tor-Tor Somba Tapanuli dance materials in north Sumatra averaged 88.32%. Based on the average results, multicultural dance through the cross approach requires socialisation and adaptation efforts. Pages 176 to 185




The Differences in the Effect of Non-Monetary Promotion Frame on Purchase Intent

The research objectives are to identify and analyse the effects of non-monetary promotional frames, which are extra content, extra products, and prizes, on the intention of buying. Perceptions of transaction value and promotional offers which can be trusted as a mediator variable. These promotional frames are applied to hedonic products i.e. desirable expensive famous brand cosmetics. In addition, promotional frames are also applied to unknown products. There is a brand created specifically for this research as a comparator. From several pre-tests conducted in a preliminary study it was decided that perfume products were to be the objects in this research. In addition, it also tests product attraction, gift suitability with promoted products, and equality of promotion value as well as promotion frame credibility. The research design used in Convention studies is the experimental design of the experimental laboratory in the form of 3x2 between subject factorial designs. Participants participating in the study were homemakers and professionals. One Way ANOVA is used to analyse differences in influences from non-monetary promotional frames on each variable, and ANCOVA is used to test the mediation effect of the transaction value variables and the promotional bids that can be trusted... The results found that there were differences in the influence of three promotional frames i.e. extra content, extra products, and prizes on the intention of buying but only for famous brand perfume products. Whereas unknown brand perfume products were found to have difference influence buying intent but not significant. On variable perception transaction, value found difference of influence from non-monetary promotion frame both to famous product and to unknown product. But the mediation effect of the transaction value and the reliable promotional offer on the purchase intention only occur in the brand of famous cosmetic brands. Pages 186 to 198

Humans as social beings require skills in socialising . It is necessary to stimulate the development of prosocial behaviour from an early age, due to the fact that the negative social behaviours such as aggressiveness and bullying of children in the school environment are being more widely reported in the electronic media. The main purpose of this research is to describe the profile of early childhood prosocial behaviour and know the implications of the efforts undertaken in school guidance. The study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The subjects were one teacher and five students aged 4-5 years at a kindergarten in Cipocok subdistrict, Serang. The data was collected using observation and interviews, and the study of documentation to observe the objective condition from the photographs. Then the data obtained in the field were analysed and evaluated by using triangulation techniques. The results of the research in the field illustrate that: (1) prosocial behaviour profiles of children aged 4-5 years at a kindergarten in Cipocok sub-district, Serang are quite adequate; (2) the implications for guidance is to integrate the guidance program into learning activities in the classroom. The program includes the techniques of modelling, storytelling, establishing classroom rules with students, complimenting children who demonstrate prosocial behaviours, expressing hopes to students, and performing different kinds of activities in the classroom to rise students’ enthusiasm. The Effect Intellectual Ability and Work Experience has on Vocational High School Teachers’ Performance

A teacher is a proactive individual who works as a driving force as well as a model of modernisation in the schools. In educational circumstances, a teacher is an asset that needs to be trained and developed so that the representative performance can produce quality students. This study is researching the affect  intellectual ability and work experience, has on teachers’ performance. This study used literature and field research designs. The research sample of 30 teachers was taken from the total number of the teacher population at SMK TPI AL-HASANAH Pematang Bandar. The location of research was conducted at SMK TPI AL-HASANAH Pematang Bandar, Simalungun, and North Sumatera. The period of the study was carried out from January to August 2019. The data analysis used the classical assumption test, qualitative descriptive analysis, and quantitative analysis. The descriptive research results explained the results of respondents’ opinions for intellectual ability which had an average value of 3.60 with a good category. Then, the work experience variable obtained s value of 3.68 in a satisfied category. Moreover, for the teachers’ performance, it obtained an average value of 3.59 with the satisfied category. The results showed a strong relationship between intellectual ability, work experience, and teachers’ performance. Furthermore, there was a positive and significant effect of intellectual ability and work experience on teachers’ performance. Pages 224 to 235

This study aims to determine the stages and the influence of the Professional Learning Community (hereafter KPP) of the Malay Language Teachers at the Transformation School in Selangor. In this study, a total of 174 teachers from 16 Transformasional schools in Selangor were involved as respondents. This study is a quantitative investigation using the review method. The data was collected through questionnaires answered by the respondents. The instrument used was the results obtained through the Fuzzy Delphi method based on the agreement of 12 experts. Quantitative data was analysed using SPSS software version 23.0 and SEM Amos version 23.0. The study result shows that the practice stage of the KPP of the Malay Language teacher at Transformation School is at a high level in each dimension based on the overall average score (Min = 4.04, SP = 0.560). The study findings also show that there are significant influences among the nine KPP dimensions. This study is expected to have a positive impact on the implementation of KPP at transformational schools, in order to improve effective teaching and quality of teachers as well as to improve student learning achievement and school excellence in line with the Ministry of Education (hereafter kPM) policy. Using Music for Teaching Indonesian Students Writing in the EFL Context

This investigation was planned to study the Impact of Music on Cognitive and Psychomotor Functioning on the Students' Writing Ability at the Indonesian Junior High School in Banten. The  study was conducted in two classes; one class included 26 understudies. The method used in this investigation was the quantitative strategy with treatment by a level 2x2 plan. The scientist  gathered the data via tests and polls. The discoveries of this investigation were: (1) It can be seen that sig 0.000 < 0.05 and F observed (10,017) > T table (1,51). (2) There were not interactional effects of showing media (music and non-music) and intellectual and psychomotor working toward understudies' composition capacity. It tends to be seen that sig 0.707 > 0.05 and F observed (0.143) < F table (1,51). (3) The effect on the understudies' composition capacity of those who were instructed by Music showed subjective and psychomotor skills working higher than the individuals who were instructed by Non-Music. (4) There was a clear distinction between the understudies' composition capacity who were instructed by Music and the understudies who were instructed by Non-Music as these individuals were displaying lower reading and writing abilities . Children’s Learning abilities are affected by the obstacles of intellectual disabilities so that to optimally develop their ability requires a variety of teaching media. This research, using the application of children's songs in the learning process, is one way to improve the ability in recognising body parts by children with intellectual disabilities. The objective was to find out the increase of recognising body parts in children with intellectual disabilities through the use of song. The method used is an experimental method using single subject research. The research design is A-B-A design. The results show the increase of the ability of children with intellectual disabilities in recognising body parts, after the treatment by using songs. This is indicated by the comparison of the average score in the intervention phase and baseline-2 is higher than in the baseline-1 phase. This study was to analyse the performance of embroidery entrepreneurs in Aceh. The location of the study was in five districts, namely Sulam entrepreneurs in Banda Aceh, Aceh Besar, Bireun, Lhokseumawe and West Aceh. The sampling method uses Proportional Stratified Sampling. Then random sampling was carried out in each city or regency with a total of 198 embroidery entrepreneurs. This research uses AMOS Structural Equation Model (SEM), as a data analysis tool. From the test, some results showed that Entrepreneurial Recruitment, Entrepreneur Training, and  Entrepreneurial Orientation have a positive effect on Entrepreneurial Commitment and entrepreneurial performance. Whereas, there was found to be no positive effect of organisational innovation on entrepreneurial commitment and entrepreneurial performance. The entrepreneurial commitment variable acted as an intervening variable and mediates the relationship between entrepreneurial recruitment and entrepreneurial performance, namely Fully Mediated. The entrepreneurial commitment variable does not act as an intervening variable and does not mediate the relationship of entrepreneurial training with Entrepreneurial performance (Partial Mediated). The entrepreneurial commitment variable does not act as an intervening variable and does not mediate the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and entrepreneurial performance. An Innovation to Heighten Research Culture in Selected Colleges of Nursing in Region IX, Philippines

The study aimed to apply Everett M. Rogers’ Diffusion of Innovation Theory to heighten the research culture in selected Colleges of Nursing in Region IX, Philippines through the “Awareness and Motivation Session”. Utilising Rogers’ DOI Theory, this study looked into the possibility of whether the innovation, which was the “Awareness and Motivation Session,” was able to heighten the research culture among faculty in selected colleges of nursing by reinforcing their interest in research, and for faculty members to seek opportunities to engage in research activities. Quasi-experimental, pre-test/post-test research design utilising quantitative approach and complementary qualitative approach was employed in the study. Thirty-two (32) faculty respondents and four (4) administrators who were employed in Colleges of Nursing in Zamboanga City, Region IX were involved in the study, and were chosen through convenience sampling. An adapted questionnaire on faculty research productivity based on Bland et al. (2002) model was used with permission, for the quantitative part.  To complement the results gathered from the questionnaire, a semi-structured interview utilising an interview guide was employed for the qualitative part.  Both instruments underwent content validity and reliability. Findings revealed there was a significant difference on the perception of the faculty on research culture in the Colleges of Nursing in terms of institutional factors before and after the Awareness and Motivation Session, and increase in mean values of the leadership and individual factors.  The AMS, used as an innovation to heighten research culture in the study, showed promise to be an effective initiative to heighten research culture among faculty in Colleges of Nursing.  Furthermore, results have shown no significant difference in the perception of research culture in terms of individual and institutional factors between the faculty and the administrators of Colleges of Nursing in Zamboanga City.  However, a significant difference in terms of leadership factor between faculty and administrators in Colleges of Nursing was presented.  The Awareness and Motivation Session may be further enhanced to be more effective in heightening research culture in the Colleges of Nursing.  Pages 307 to 322

The internship program is a period of transition that enhances the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of aspiring nurses. It serves as a training venue for nurse interns in adapting to clinical situations. This study aimed to determine the relationship that exists in the level of adaptation of nurse interns in acute care hospital practice and their demographic features. It employed a descriptive correlational study with the participation of eighty-two nurse interns who were about to complete the internship program from the University of Hail City, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. A two-part questionnaire tool was utilised, with the first part covering the demographic features of respondents and the second part adapted Casey-Fink Readiness for the practice survey tool. The questionnaire was validated by five experts, and 15 nurse interns who were not part of the actual group of respondents answered it for reliability testing, utilising the Cronbach alpha. The overall adaptation level of nurse interns in hospital practice is slightly able to adapt. There is no significant difference between the level of adaptation of nurse interns in acute care hospital practice when grouped according to age. However, there is a significant difference between the level of adaptation and their GPA and type of program. It was concluded that nurse interns from the bridging program and those with high-grade point average appear to have a higher level of adaptation in acute care hospital practice than those in the regular program and those with low-grade point average. This study uses qualitative methods, data collection using snowball sampling technique by conducting observations, interviews and documentation. The results of Reog's research on art that grows among the people is a show favoured by people of all ages and society. Reog performances are presented in limited time, there is a beginning and an end, it incudes organised activities, there is a group of players, there are spectators, and the venue. Reog found in Sumatera is usually performed at salvation events such as weddings, circumcisions and National holidays. The COPE Model for Promoting Cooperative Learning in Classrooms

Students of the 21st century are expected to acquire essential soft skills such as creativity, communication, critical thinking and collaboration. In order to cultivate such skills, it is necessary to embrace a form of teamwork based on cooperative learning in which students can interact with each other and exercise their skills in an appropriate environment. A key characteristic of cooperative learning is to assign a designated role to particular team members, making each important to contribute to the achievement of team mission. However, it remains unclear how many roles should be constituted in one team and how students with different personality types should be grouped together. This paper therefore adopts the framework of DISC personality and Kolb's experiential learning cycle to develop a synthesised model called COPE which composes of four crucial roles of teamwork: Communicator, Overseer, Philosopher and Empathist. Each of the roles can be well aligned with the four personality types which are classified by their focus when working towards the completion of a given mission (task-focused or people-focused) and their preferred mode of idea expression (expressive or passive). The COPE model offers designated roles for students to accomplish in classroom settings. In addition, it offers a cyclical rotation of the roles which is believed to be theoretically appropriate for students to learn to work with others effectively and to adapt themselves to work on a newly given role professionally. Lag or delay of the final report provides loss to the financial statement user and stakeholder because they want to use this report as a tool for decision making. Our study’s purpose is to empirically explore factors: CPA firm, audit opinion, firm size and profitability towards audit report lag in retail company which has been public ownership of manufacture within range year 2013-2018. This research uses purposive sampling method with the total sample of 35 companies. This research also employs multiple linear regressions as model analysing method using SPSS. The partial and simultaneous test shows that CPA firm size, audit opinion, company total asset and company profit do not positively give meaningful impact to delay or lag in final report of auditor independence in retail sub category in manufacture. The purpose of this study is to analyse the caring behavioural education model that is influenced jointly by the value of personality and expertise courses as learning outcomes with a single mediation or a combination of student attitudes about caring, subjective norms of students and perceptions of caring behaviour of nursing students. This study uses a quantitative research approach with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis techniques using Lisrel software. The study was conducted on 120 students of the third level of the Study Program in DIII Nursing Stikes Hang Tuah, Surabaya who are undergoing the final practice in the form of a case study at Hospital Dr Ramelan, Surabaya. The results showed that the educational model of student caring behaviour is influenced jointly by knowledge in the form of personality and skills courses in the form of expertise courses through a combination of mediation together with the direct influence of student attitudes about caring, the direct influence of student subjective norms and the effect of indirect perception control student caring behaviour. The results of the research model are fit, which includes both. Implications: the results of the study found the concept that caring behaviour education for nursing students needs to be developed based on the principles of knowing moral integrity, moral feeling, and moral action through various learning approaches. Students need to be assigned assignments for study visits or internships at a hospital, according to the time available, as part of the lecture system, to gain more knowledge and skills. Facebook users have their motive which encourages them to choose a preferred Facebook page. A motive embedded in an individual can be stimulated to become active. A motive could turn into motivation during a certain process. The purpose of this research is to determine the user intention in using Tourism Malaysia 'Facebook’ account.  It also seeks to validate the adequacy of the generated items representing the construct involved in this research. The Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) validation includes attitude, subjective norms, behavioural control response, Facebook user experience, response, and engagement. This research collected 237 valid responses from active Facebook users. The results of the study show that the attitude is considered invalid as a construct in this research due to the model fit issue. However, the remaining items and constructs in this study are considered valid and reliable.   Therefore, it can be applied in the research and suitable for the second level (measurement model) analysis for validity and reliability. Strategic environment development demands better capacity building and defence capabilities to face future challenges. The Navy educational institutions are expected to adapt with the development of science and technology. It is aligned with the quality of educators available. Nowadays, available educators cannot focus one hundred percent on the job. This is because there are other tasks and workloads, so the role of service to students and institutions is not in accordance with professional standards. The aim of paper is give an analysis and strategy for the development of an educator’s competence in the Indonesian Navy (TNI AL). This research uses SWOT analysis and Fuzzy Multi criteria Decision Making method (F-MCDM). The result paper showed 4 (four) strategies for the development of educator competence. The strategies consist of seven points for the Strength-opportunity (SO) strategy; seven points for the II Weakness-Opportunity (WO) strategy; six points for the III Weakness-Threat (WT) strategy; and seven points for the Strength-Threat IV strategy (ST). Based on Fuzzy MCDM, this paper showed the weighted value of several strategies, such as: 0.2841 for Strategy I (S-O); 0.2844 for Strategy II (W-O); 0.2177 for Strategy III (W-T); 0.2138 for Strategy IV (S-O). VO2 max is the "engine" of an athlete. The better VO2 max, the better physical abilities of an athlete to play games for a long time without significant exhaustion. Badminton players, for example, must have excellent physical condition. The physical condition of Indonesian players, especially their VO2 max, however, tends to be relatively low. This study aims to examine: (1) the effects of jump rope and high jump training with 1:1 intervals on increasing VO2 max and anaerobic threshold; (2) the difference between the effects of jump rope training with intervals of 1:1 and high jump with intervals of 1:1 on VO2 max and anaerobic threshold. This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method. The research design used in in this study is factorial design and data analysis using t-test and MANOVA. The results show that: (1) There is an effect of jump rope and high jump training with 1:1 intervals on increasing VO2 max and anaerobic threshold; (2) there is a difference in effects between jump rope training with 1:1 intervals and high jump with 1:1 intervals on VO2 max and anaerobic threshold. This study concludes that jump rope and high jump training with 1:1 intervals can increase VO2 max and anaerobic threshold, and that jump rope training with 1:1 intervals works more effectively. The purpose of this study is to examine the actor's strategy in maintaining the integrity of the group against the conflicting placement of the capital of North Buton Regency, Indonesia. The method used is qualitative research aimed at describing, formulating, and analysing both natural and human social phenomena related to the problem of capital placement. The subjects of this study consisted of executive officers, legislators, elites, community leaders, and community members who were actors in 6 sub-districts in North Buton Regency, which is populated by 59,281 people. Primary data collection in this study was carried out using observation, in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and documentation. This study uses descriptive analysis, so the data obtained is analysed empirically to be understood. The results of this study indicate that the actors in maintaining the integrity of the group are a source of inspiration in fighting for the interests of the surrounding community by using a variety of strategies that co-opts the community with the views expressed by the actors. The most prominent actor strategies played in maintaining the integrity of the group are the political invasion strategy, the economic invasion strategy, the power invasion strategy, and the socio-cultural invasion strategy. In the arena, there are always parties, both individuals and groups, who dominate with the power of their resources. Those who are not the dominant group must strive so that their capital can survive, develop, and then be preserved in order to perpetuate the existence of actors. Pages 443 to 458

This study aimed to examine and analyse the effect and influence of ownership structure, capital structure, investment opportunity set on firm values mediated by dividend policy, and dividend policy on the value of the firm. The type of research used is an explanatory type of research, which explains the symptoms caused by an object of research, namely by testing and analysing the influence of ownership structure, capital structure, investment opportunity set (IOS) on company value through dividend policy as its mediation. The population size of this research consisted of 151 manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange that operated between 2013-2017. Companies chosen in the observation period had distributed dividends and had managerial ownership of 32 companies for 5 years which equates to 160 firm years. The method of data analysis is Path analysis and Sobel test, which is used to test the mediating role of dividend policy variable. The findings of the research are that ownership structure, capital structure and IOS significantly influence the firm value, ownership structure, and capital structure; IOS have no significant effect on dividend policy and ownership structure; IOS have a significant effect on company value mediated dividend policy; capital structure has no significant effect towards company value mediated dividend policy; and that dividend policy has no significant effect on firm value. The development of product attributes is pursued by agro-industry craftsmen to maintain and promote the product position in the market as it is related to consumers’ satisfaction of the consumer products. This research was aimed at 1) investigating the respondents’ characteristics and 2) analysing the determinants of consumers’ perception towards product attributes. The samples involved 40 respondents who were taken using accidental sampling. The research data was analysed by the principal component analysis (PCA) method. The result showed that Eigenvalue demonstrated the contribution of the determinants towards the observed variance values. There were seven (7) determinants of consumers’ perception towards the product attributes of sago local food agro-industry, including product appearance, product preference, product promotion and transaction, product safety, product beauty, product reliability, and product suitability. A Quantitative Study on HR and Talent Management in the Service Industry: A case of Bahrain

Given that talent retention hinges on how best an organisation can entice, preserve, attract, improve, manage, retain and maintain necessary talents, a fitting question is ‘what are the determinants of talent retention?’ To answer this question, the current study examined the effects of training, pay-for-performance, non-monetary rewards and working conditions on talent retention. Data was obtained from 476 employees in Bahrain’s service industry. The data was analysed using PLS-SEM’s measurement model and structural model evaluation. The results obtained from the running of PLS-SEM’s algorithm indicate that training and development, non-monetary rewards, and working conditions are significant determinants of talent retention. This implies that need-based training and development, relevant non-monetary rewards, and conducive working conditions should be entrenched in organisations in order to enhance talent retention in Bahrain and elsewhere in the world. While the impacts of training, pay-for-performance, non-monetary rewards and working condition on talent retention are relatively high, there are other unidentified variables that could have impacts on talent retention. Extant empirical evidence has signified that the only way to gain a continuous competitive advantage, offer differentiated goods and services and minimise costs is to enhance employee innovation performance. Therefore, this study aims to explore the predictors of employee innovation performance by investigating the effects of job design, training and development, compensation, and succession planning on employee innovation performance. It aims to do so by using employee ambidexterity as a mediating variable. Data, which was elicited from 350 individuals who hold managerial positions in Bahraini firms through a survey, was analysed using a Smart PLS-SEM’s approach (measurement and structural model evaluation). The overall results indicate that employee ambidexterity mediates the relationships between selected HR practices and employee innovation performance. This implies that job design, training & development, compensation, and succession planning are significant drivers of employee innovation performance in the current, increasingly competitive environment. This could be enhanced through a concurrent pursuit of innovation using both explorative and exploitative activities that are carried out by the employees of the organisations (i.e., employee ambidexterity). Gloria Naylor’s The Women of Brewster Place appeared when the Harlem renaissance and Afro-Americanism had been established as mainstream genres. The novel portrays the deprived and Coloured sections of society. The residents of Brewster Place represent the lower class; primarily Black women who have come to Brewster Place in search of peace. They are constantly searching for home, both as a literal place to live and as a metaphorical state of mind. They share their struggles and make efforts to live in unity with compassion and consideration. They stick to Brewster Place as they find none to help out in the world. They narrate stories of narrow escapes from unfriendly and soul-destroying forces of their past. The novel also symbolises the failure of the American Dream, as characters weave dreams of macabre, dark and dismal visions; nightmares which any American would hate to come across in life. Unsettled status leads employees to have desires to change their jobs. In the context of organisations, higher turnover intention has been a critical phenomenon, since further problems arise from it in companies. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the effects of job security on turnover intention with burnout as the mediator. This is causality research. The population consists of nurses of private hospitals in Surabaya, Indonesia. The respondents are 202 nurses. The data in this study was primarily obtained using questionnaires. The data was analysed using Partial Least Square (PLS) and Sobel tests to determine the indirect effects. This study indicates that job insecurity affects turnover intention, job burnout, and burnout affected turnover intensions. A Sobel test determined that burnout could mediate the effect of job security on turnover intentions. The employees who experienced job insecurity tended to have higher levels of intention to leave the organisation. Moreover, burnout was found to be a mediating variable between job insecurity and intention to quit. Hence, increasing job insecurity encouraged higher levels of employee burnout, and subsequently increased the intention to find alternative employment. Pages 573 to 583

This paper aims to examine the Wetu Telu as the local identity of Sasak ethnic group on globally cultural endeavour in Lombok. The Wetu Telu tradition has been inherited down from many generations by Sasak ethnic groups, and has experienced a cultural endeavour in the era of globalisation, because it was considered not in accordance with the teachings of Islam in general. The endeavour arises between  the ethnic Sasak group who want to maintain the Wetu Telu tradition as a local identity and those who want to apply Islamic culture in general. The endeavour raises concerns about the extinction of the Wetu Telu tradition and the Sasak ethnic group losing their identity. The issue that arises in this case is how Sasak people can maintain their local wisdom so as not to lose their identity. To analyse and explain the Wetu Telu culture as a local identity of the Sasak ethnicity, qualitative research methods were used to reveal the Wetu Telu cultural meaning as a Sasak identity and explain the rise of Sasak local wisdom in Lombok in the midst of globalisation. Qualitative research methods in this case use the historical paradigm, the theory of multiculturalism and the theory of hegemony. This research will be able to reveal the background of the Wetu Telu culture, the endeavour of identity and the rise of the Wetu Telu as the Sasak identity. This study analyses the determinants that can produce economic value added, and the capacity of human resources in enhancing the role of MSMEs in Brebes Regency, especially in overcoming poverty. The specific objectives are 1) Finding the key to the success of the MSME business in Brebes Regency, 2) Analysing key factors to increase economic value added in the MSME of Brebes Regency, 3) Developing an economic value added model with the perspective of human resources for developing MSMEs in Brebes Regency, and 4) Evaluating whether the MSME business development model with an HR perspective can increase economic added value in Brebes Regency. Research respondents are 114 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) actors. The analysis uses multiple regression analysis which measure various variables related to enhancing the role of MSMEs in Brebes Regency. The results of the study found that 1) based on stakeholder theory, organisational management is expected to carry out activities deemed important by their stakeholders and report back on these activities to stakeholders, 2) Effective and efficient management of resources by companies can create competitive advantages to produce company value, and 3) MSMEs in Brebes realize that marketing can improve business performance. Management of Ujung Kulon Banten National Park becomes ineffective, when the forest resources have not been reached because of existing regulations. The long-term object of this research is to create harmony and balance between forest conservation efforts in the National, Ujung Kulon Park through forest resources, so that forest management needs to be revitalised through the adoption of more flexible policies and to improve the living standards of local communities. Specific research objectives include the following: 1) to raise awareness of the importance of protecting the environment around the forest; 2) reduce conflicts between the community and the Ujung Kulon National Park forest manager; 3) And for the application of the Ujung Kulon National Park forest management policy. This study uses a survey method with a quantitative approach, which uses mixed analysis (quantitative and qualitative). The results of this study explains the existence of an appropriate relative conservation policy implementation and the security of Ujung Kulon national park, which is quite strict, including in the traditional zone can be utilised by the surrounding community. Revitalisation of Ujung Kulon national park management still needs to be improved, both from experts in the internal conservation of fauna and flora as well as support for community empowerment around the area. Thw policy implementation, counselling by officials, independent education counselling on revitalisation of Ujung Kulon National Park forest management is only 45%, this figure is relatively small. So, as a whole can be declared inadequate or not significant. This research can theoretically contribute to the development of policy formulation and implementation of policies in an integrated manner with the reality of social needs and the problem of placing the community not only as a policy target but also the subject of policy consumers. Another contribution of the results of research to the development of organisational theory, related to the strengthening of public institutions and effectiveness in the management and implementation of tasks based on formal rules. Preserving the environment is an issue worthy of scientific research and data analysis, especially as the causes of environmental pollution have multiplied. In addition to natural disasters, man has contributed to the spread of pollution beyond the tolerable limits, causing an environmental damage that threatens the continuity of life itself. Environmental conditions are of such intensity that they necessitate a different lifestyle for their improvement, as well as the development of a sustainable environment. Since the demand to create fundamental changes in the behaviour of the individual and his/her habits towards the environment is urgent, the media comes to occupy an important position in the pursuit and realization of such changes. A new media branch has emerged, under the name of Environmental Media, which contributes, most notably, in developed countries, to raising public awareness about environmental issues. It thus alerts and encourages governments to be more attentive to environmental problems. Given the reality of media practice with respect to environmental issues in developing countries, there is a gap between these media practices and their resonance with individuals. Such effect is sought by media outlets through the spread of their message of guidance and enlightenment, bearing social and cultural weight on the educational and political abilities of the society to create values and good attitudes. Study Problem: The objective of this analytical study is to address the global role of the UAE in the protection of the environment, and the promotion of sustainable development through. This is achieved by highlighting through the media the efforts exerted by the UAE in facing problems of the environment and sustainable development, at the local and international level; and also by analysing media trends in addressing some of the problems of the environment and sustainable development. The objectives of this study are (1) to describe the directive illocutionary speech acts which were stated by police officers in the 'Net 86' program on the Net TV television station, (2) describe the communicative function of the directive illocutionary speech act described by the Police in the 'Net 86' program on the 'Net 86' television station on the Net TV television station, and (3) arrange the Implementation Plan for  learning   persuasion text and writing skills in grade VIII of SMP, which can be compiled by utilizing the results of analysis and research findings. The research method  consists of a  descriptive qualitative method. Research data collection was carried out by using basic tapping techniques, advanced techniques of free and active conversation, recording techniques including note taking , and literature analysis. Data analysis techniques consisted of  contextual analysis . The data was analyzed using J.R. theory. Searle in the view of Rahardi and Rohmadi. This research aims to test the influence of CSR and innovation on Sharia banking performance as measured by the use of Maqasid al Syariah, CSR and innovation, CSR relations and performance mediated by innovations in Sharia banking Aceh. In this study, hierarchical regression was used to analyse research data by using SPSS 22, with a sample amount of 300 respondents who were permanent employees of the Aceh Sharia Bank. The results of this research show that CSR and innovation have an effect on Sharia banking performance. CSR has significant positive effect on innovation and innovation in the dissemination of the relationship between CSR and Sharia banking performance in Aceh. The basic purpose of the study was to analyze the discrimination and harassment again female students in Higher Education Institutions of South Punjab. The main objectives of the study were to point out the kinds and the factors of harassments usually accrue in higher education institutions of southern Punjab and to identify the main causes of discrimination and harassment in higher education institutions. The study was descriptive in nature while quantitative research approach was used to gather information from the selected higher education institutions of southern Punjab.  Two hundred and twenty (220) students and female teachers from the different institutions were selected randomly as a sample of the study. The questionnaire containing 32 items were distributed and collected the relevant information from the participants. After obtaining information, it was filter and run the statistical formulas i.e percentage, mean and standard deviation. On the base of data analysis it was concluded that harassment is an increasing phenomenon in higher education institutions of south Punjab.  Majority of the participants were found agreed that the act of violence against women abused were physically, mentally and emotionally are normal in higher education institutions. This study further explores that the most of the women usually faced violence against social issue, physical abuse as well as non- verbal abuse of men at their work places. Pages 684 to 697
